What are some honorable quotes of all time?

Image
Here are some of my favorites, Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things no one can imagine  -  The Imitation Game There is no law except the law that there is no law  -  John Archibald Wheeler It is strange that only extraordinary men make the discoveries, which later appear so easy and simple  -  Georg C. Lichtenberg Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe  -  Albert Einstein The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it  -  Neil deGrasse Tyson You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him discover it in himself  -  Galileo Imagination is more important than knowledge  -  Albert Einstein If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants  -  Isaac Newton Do you know why people like violence? It is because it feels good. Humans find v...

Can we convert Lightning into Electricity ?

Image
One lightning strike will produce around $100 worth of electricity, whereas it will cost millions of dollars to build such towers which can regulate such high voltage. If we see the data, there are about 7 lightning strikes per year per square mile. To capture the strikes in one square mile you would need dozens of 250-1000 foot high towers, & all of them having very costly capacitors at their base. So, I think its not a good idea.

Why a human becomes old ?

Image
Ageing is the process of becoming older. Ageing is among the greatest known risk factors for most human diseases of the roughly 150,000 people who die each day across the globe, about two-thirds die from age-related causes. The causes of ageing are uncertain; current theories are assigned to the damage concept, whereby the accumulation of damage (such as DNA oxidation) may cause biological systems to fail, or to the programmed ageing concept, whereby internal processes

How do Ships float in water ?

Image
According to the  Archimedes principle , " an object in a fluid experiences an upward force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by it. " The same principle goes for the floating ships. The reason ships float is that they displace a lot of water, if a ship could not push enough water out of the way, it would probably sink. The displaced water wants to return in its original form, where the ship is now, & keeps pushing it upwards. As a result, we get a smoothly floating ship. The force which pushes the ship up is called the buoyancy force. Designers keep it in mind that the ship will displace the total amount of water equal to its weight, way before the water gets in.

Why the use of mobile phone is prohibited during the flights ?

Image
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) banned in-flight use of most cell phones and wireless devices in 1991, citing the reason for ground network interference. They say that the cell phone calls affect the flight crew contact with ground staff. There are complaints from the Cabin crew that these cell phones waves might be responsible for autopilot disconnects, or instrument display malfunctions

Is it really possible to keep our eyes open during a sneeze ?

Image
The nose and eyes are linked by cranial nerves, as a result the stimulation from the sneeze travels up one nerve to the brain, then down another nerve to the eyelids, triggering a blink for most people. It's impossible to keep our eyes open during a sneeze. It's a  built-in reflex .

Why sunsets on Mars are blue ?

Image
Earth has a  thick atmosphere  due to which the phenomenon  Rayleigh scattering  occurs. When the sun is low in the sky (during the sunrise & sunset), the light has to travel a long path through the atmosphere to reach us. As a result, most of the blue photons are scattered away due to less wavelength & only the red photons will reach us. So, the sunset at Earth appears red. But Mars's atmosphere is different from Earth.  Mars  has a very thin, dry, and dusty atmosphere, it's roughly 100 times thinner than Earth. This means it scatters mostly the high wavelength (red) photons uniformly and blue photons scatter only a slight angle. As a result, mostly blue photons reach the surface when the sun goes down & we get a beautiful blue sunset on Mars.

I'm 16 years now & I'm very skinny. How can I gain weight ?

Image
There could be several causes of bringing skinny or underweight. Some of them are genetics problems, metabolism, drug use, physical or mental illness, poor eating habits, fast metabolism system, poor lifestyle, overwork or stress, etc. Here are some home remedies to gain weight, Milk & Banana -  Bananas are full of carbohydrates & potassium that give you instant energy. If you want to gain weight then you should eat a banana daily in the morning with a glass of warm milk. Potatoes -  Potatoes contain significant amounts of fiber which helps. Fiber helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, & also decreasing the risk of heart disease. Increase Protein Intake -  Protein is the building block, and your body is going to be starving for it if you don't add enough proteins to your diet. Some good sources of protein are Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Beans, Seafood, Pulses, etc. Daily Exercises -  Exercise is essential in building muscles which also...

So if we can turn ourself into Photon using some kind of machine , Can we travel at the speed of light ?

Image
Light travels so  fast  because it has  no mass  but still some momentum. The particles that make up EM radiation are called photons where each and every photon has a packet or quantum of energy depending upon its frequency. So, yes. If you could turn yourself into a photon you will reach the speed of light as soon as you do it.

Does God exists ?

Image
Well, religion has played a very important role in the ancient times. It united people in groups that stayed together & further transformed into today's modern world. The base of any religion is  God . We don't know if God is real because there are no scientific pieces of evidence of it. So, if there's a god we have nothing to worry about. We're good to go. But in order to prove something, science requires pieces of evidence that can be tested in a lab. God is a concept that can't be tested, also we have no evidence of it. So, it becomes our duty to make a change in our own existence & explore the unknown.

What makes our behaviour different than others ? Some people are talkative and some dont, some people are short tempered and some dont, some are clever and some dont ?

Image
Human behavior is the responses of individuals or groups of humans to internal and external stimuli. It refers to the array of every physical action and observable emotion associated with individuals, as well as the human race. While specific traits of one's personality and temperament may be more consistent, other behaviors will change as one moves from birth through adulthood. In addition to being dictated by age and genetics, behavior, driven in part by thoughts and feelings, is an insight into the individual psyche, revealing among other things attitudes and values. Social behavior, a subset of human behavior, studies the considerable influence of social interaction and culture. Additional influences include ethics, encircling, authority, rapport, hypnosis, persuasion, and coercion. The behavior of humans (and other organisms or even mechanisms) falls within a range with some behavior being common, some unusual, some acceptable, and some beyond acceptable limits. In sociology,...

Machenism of Earth's Magnetic Field

Image
Fusion occurs at the center of our Sun, as a result of which it blasts the energetic particles ( Solar Winds ) like protons & electrons, all the time. Earth's Magnetic field prevents those energetic particles from reaching us. Just like that, w ithout magnetic field Oceans will evaporate, life will die because of radiation, greenery will vanish & finally, Earth will turn into Mars within a million years.

What if Earth stops rotating suddenly ?

Image
One day billions of years from now Earth will standstill, it will no longer be spinning because of the slowing down every moment. But chances are good that other events that will occur before that, such as the sun swallowing up the planet. With that being said, there isn’t a chance that the Earth will suddenly stop spinning anytime soon. But let’s just assume for a moment that the Earth did suddenly stop rotating, and take a look at what would happen to us, and the planet. Our planet spins at its equator 1000 miles per hour as it orbits the sun. But, as you get closer to the poles, the rotation is slower. Without this rotation, life as we know it wouldn’t be possible. It is said that billions of years ago, our planet used to spin much faster than it does now. At the beginning of our young solar system, an unknown planet or large celestial body collided with the Earth, and in that collision, the Earth's alignment and rotation were changed, and the moon was formed. Since then the E...

How does Electrocardiogram (ECG) work ?

Image
Electrocardiography is a process of recording the electrical activity of the heart using electrodes placed on the skin. The electrodes placed in the skin detect any tiny electrical changes on the skin that arise from the heart muscles during each heartbeat.

How many planets are there in our solar system ?

Image
Most of the people know that there are 8 planets in our solar system. Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune                           But, that's not true. According to scientists, there's a ninth planet in our solar system, I'm not talking about  Pluto. In 2014 astronomer observed something which wasn't fitting with the regular revolution of planets around the Sun. They were shocked to see that something was affecting the motion of planets around the sun. After years of research, they come up with a solution predicting that there's one more planet in our solar system. It was named as  Planet Nine. Calculations showed that planet nine has mass ten times of Earth & a diameter two to four times that of Earth. Planet Nine completes its an orbit around the sun in 10,000–20,000 years, it's semi-major axis is estimated to be 700 AU, which is roughly 20 times the distance from Neptune t...

How Mount Everest was formed ?

Image
The tallest mountain above sea level, Mount Everest, in the Himalaya Mountains. But millions of years ago, there were not the Himalayas. So, how was the  Mount Everest  formed? Let's go back in time & find out how Mount Everest was formed. About  60 million years ago  a huge collision between India and the Euro-Asian continent took place. The continental drift of the tectonic plates drove these two plates to the collision. Since both are continental plates, they clashed, crumpled, and formed the mountains of Himalayas, Mount Everest was one of them. Mount Everest is made of three layers of rocks, they are: 1. Limestone  - at the top 2. Marble  - at the middle 3. Himalayan granite  - at the bottom Here are some mind-blowing facts about Mount Everest. Everest is 29,035 feet, or 8848 meters high. The summit is the border of Nepal to the south and China or Tibet in the north. It is over 60 million years old. Everest grows by about a quarter of...

What are Comets ?

Image
A celestial object consisting a nucleus of ice and dust and when it goes near to the sun, a trail of dust and ice pointing away from the sun appears. You can say it a snowball of a solar system that produces a visible environment by outgassing. Actually, outgassing is a process used for producing gas.

What would happen if Apophis Astriod hits Earth's surface ?

Image
Apophis was discovered by  Roy A. Tucker ,  David J. Tholen  &  Fabrizio Bernardi  on June 19, 2004. It is a 400 meters wide & 26.99 billion kg heavy asteroid with an average orbital speed of 30.728 km/s. Astronomers calculated that there's a small possibility of Apophis hitting Earth in 2029 or 2036. So, what will happen if Apophis hits the Earth? On hitting Earth it will produce an Energy of more than  100 thousand Hiroshima bombs , which is enough to destroy an entire country. In case it lands in highly populated areas or countries like India, China, or America then it will kill millions of people within a few minutes of destruction. Now you might be wondering how do we stop this Asteroid from hitting Earth? Well, today we don't have any good practical solution to stop an asteroid that big. But, here are a few ideas that might be helpful in the future. Laser Beam -  By pointing a strong laser beam on the asteroid we can actually change...

What was the beginning of Universe?

Image
In the beginning, the Universe was nothing but a  Singularity.  A singularity is a point of infinite mass  & density. Singularity seems stable as we study it today, but in the early universe because of  quantum fluctuations , it wasn't stable at all. That instability resulted in a huge explosion we call  Big Bang. From our current understandings of Big Bang, Time or even Space didn't exist before the Big Bang, everything started altogether with this explosion. In the beginning, the Universe was like a very hot  soup  of pure energy having all the ingredients required for the formation of atoms. Within a few microseconds after Big Bang particles like quarks, leptons, gluons, Higgs, etc came into existence. But since the universe was expanding & cooling at a fast rate, these particles started to coalesce & formed other fundamental particles like electrons, protons & neutrons. But Universe was still expanding & cooling down, so the ...

Is it possible to travel in Time ?

Image
Yes, it is!  Scientists have been trying to find out new ways to travel in time for decades. Earlier it seems impossible, but not anymore. According to scientists,  Time Travel  is now just a  technical problem  that we need to solve. Here are a few possible ways to travel  forward in time , Orbiting a Black Hole -  As per Theory of Relativity we know, time slows down as we get closer to an object with high gravitational potential. Black Holes are the objects with intense gravitational potential, so if we could go closer to a Black Hole in a space-ship & orbit around it, then for us time will run slowly as compared to the people on Earth. But the problem with this idea is that Black Hole's gravity is so intense that it bends the space-time fabric & if our spaceship will try to approach a Black Hole it will probably never return. High Speed -  The faster you move, the slower the clock gets. Albert Einstein explained it as  Time ...

How the Universe and Solar System was formed ?

Image
Our universe was formed about 13.7 billion years ago after the  Big Bang  explosion. According to this theory, in the beginning, the universe was nothing but singularity. But the singularity exploded because of quantum fluctuations. As a result of this explosion vast amount of energy was released which later condensed & formed all the stuff that we observe today in the Universe. In the starting, our solar system was nothing but a cloud of dust. But with time gravity did it's magical work & formed sun at it's center. Soon after formation, all the other planets that we see begin.

Why Muslims celebrate Eid-al-Fitr according to the moon ?

Image
In Muslims, two type of eids is celebrated which is  Eid ul fitra  and  Eid ul Juha . Eid ul Juha  is celebrated to remind and revive the gracious memory of Abraham and Ishmael & the  Eid ul Fitra  is celebrated by Muslims because they percept that Allah gives a day of enjoyment after a Ramadan month. In Islam, Muslims follow the lunar Hijri calendar which depends on the moon & its location. Moon plays an important role to confirm the month and it shows the ending of a month and the beginning of the new month. Eid is an Islamic festival celebrated on the first of the lunar month of the shawl, at the end of the holy month of  Ramadan , every year. So after a whole month, they can finally start eating again. In short, it's their celebration for successfully completing Ramadan. It's important as a reminder that we are all extremely lucky. Some people fast because they have no other choice & there is no food for them.

What is the average temperature of Moon during night and how ?

Image
There is a molten zone within the moon but it is extremely small, which means it has a very small effect on its surface temperature. As a result in the lack of proper molten core & zero atmospheres the average temperature on the Moon surface varies from  -298 °F  (-183 °C) at night, to  224°F  (106 °C) during the day.

What will happen if Moon fell on Earth ?

Image
Moon is currently 384,400 km away from us. Its diameter is 3,474 km & the mass is 7.3 × 10^22 kg. So what will happen if Moon fell on Earth? Imagine moon just stopped orbiting & started moving towards Earth. On hitting earth it will release 10^20 Gigajoules of energy, which is 4 billion times the total energy of all nuclear weapons in the world right now. The impact will melt the Earth's crust where it hits & the average surface temperature will increase from 15˚C to 735˚C. As a result, Oceans & IceCaps will be vaporized within a few minutes & lava will cover the entire earth's surface. If the moon hits earth then probably our planet would never be able to sustain life again. But the fact is you don't need to worry about it because the moon is actually going away from earth at a rate of 3.8 centimeters per year. In about 50 billion years, the Moon will stop moving away from us and settle into a nice and stable orbit.

List of things which can travel faster than the speed of light ?

Image
Albert Einstein said that nothing in the universe can travel faster than light. Einstein was right, but his ideas were not only limited within the universe but also science wasn't so advanced back then as it is today. Here's the list of 4 things which can travel faster than the speed of light, Big Bang -  Withing a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a second Big Bang went from smaller than an atom to bigger than a galaxy. The explosion was so huge & vast that everything we see around us today was made within a blink of an eye. Therefore we can say that empty space can actually expand faster than light. Negative matter -  If we would be able to create & control the negative mater then we would be able to make wormholes. Wormholes are the tunnels through space which we can be used to travel across the galaxies within a fraction of a second. This means negative matter could be the key rapid space exploration & travel faster than light. Quantum Entangle...

If we move with the speed of light and hold a mirror in our hand with proper length. Will we be able to see ourself?

Image
At the moment you reach the speed of light, time for you will stop completely. This means you will freeze within one instance, as a result, you won't be able to see yourself. If you travel just below the speed of light, say 99.999% the speed of light, and hold a mirror in front of you, then you would be able to see yourself.

How can I retain what I read for long ?

Image
What you need is to have a better long term memory so that you could recall what you've learned or read earlier. Here are few scientifically proved ways to do so, Meditate  - Meditation is one of the most powerful tools to improve concentration. Practice meditation for at least ten minutes every day. Exercises  - Your ability to concentrate depends on your physical state as well. Your body should be fit and without any ailments. Do regular exercises that will improve your physical health which is a precursor to mental health. Only a healthy mind can concentrate. Sufficient sleep  - Research has proved that the mind has to be calm for it to concentrate. A mind without adequate rest cannot be calm, is always distracted. Sleep for 7 - 8 hours a day.

What are the possible surgery method to clear Myopia? What are it's age limit, risks & suitable condition for eyes?

Image
Myopia is short-sightedness means distant objects not see clearly .mypoia caused if your eyes just a bit larger or the rays cant reach the fovea- eye spot correctly. You can use a concave lens or surgery or laser treatment, but for laser minimum age must be 21 years.

Theory of Relativity : Explanation

Image
The theory of relativity usually encompasses two interrelated theories by Albert Einstein: special relativity and general relativity.!Special relativity applies to elementary particles and their interactions, describing all their physical phenomena except gravity. General relativity explains the law of gravitation and its relation to other forces of nature. It applies to the cosmological and astrophysical realm, including astronomy. The theory transformed theoretical physics and astronomy during the 20th century, superseding a 200-year-old theory of mechanics created primarily by Isaac Newton. It introduced concepts including spacetime as a unified entity of space and time, relativity of simultaneity, kinematic and gravitational time dilation, and length contraction. In the field of physics, relativity improved the science of elementary particles and their fundamental interactions, along with ushering in the nuclear age. With relativity, cosmology and astrophysics predicted...

Why Venus is the hottest planet of Solar System when mercury is closer to Sun ?

Image
Yes, it's a common question that why  Venus  is the hottest planet when  Mercury  is closer to the Sun. Here's why, Our Sun is not just a source of continuous pure energy but also sometimes it produces streams of plasma or charged particles escaping from its upper atmosphere, we call them Solar Winds. Being the closest planet to the Sun, Mercury's atmosphere is being  blown away  by the solar winds since it's formation. Today, mercury has an almost negligible atmosphere, most of it contains particles from the solar wind other than traces of helium, hydrogen, and oxygen. So the side facing the Sun can be as hot as  427 degrees Celsius  and side facing away can be as cold as  -170 degrees Celsius . Whereas Venus has an atmosphere because it's is too far & the effect of winds is minimum. Having an atmosphere results in the heat of the sun  being trapped  inside Venus's atmosphere due to the phenomenon we call the  ...
