I'm 16 years now & I'm very skinny. How can I gain weight ?

There could be several causes of bringing skinny or underweight. Some of them are genetics problems, metabolism, drug use, physical or mental illness, poor eating habits, fast metabolism system, poor lifestyle, overwork or stress, etc.
Here are some home remedies to gain weight,
  • Milk & Banana - Bananas are full of carbohydrates & potassium that give you instant energy. If you want to gain weight then you should eat a banana daily in the morning with a glass of warm milk.
  • Potatoes - Potatoes contain significant amounts of fiber which helps. Fiber helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, & also decreasing the risk of heart disease.
  • Increase Protein Intake - Protein is the building block, and your body is going to be starving for it if you don't add enough proteins to your diet. Some good sources of protein are Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Beans, Seafood, Pulses, etc.

  • Daily Exercises - Exercise is essential in building muscles which also aids weight gain efforts. If you can't lift weights, then try light exercises like long walking, can' walk? try yoga then.
  • Eat more - Giving more calories to your body will directly help to gain weight.

How do Ships float in water ?

According to the  Archimedes principle , " an object in a fluid experiences an upward force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by it. " The same principle goes for the floating ships. The reason ships float is that they displace a lot of water, if a ship could not push enough water out of the way, it would probably sink. The displaced water wants to return in its original form, where the ship is now, & keeps pushing it upwards. As a result, we get a smoothly floating ship. Why sunsets on Mars are blue ?

Earth has a  thick atmosphere  due to which the phenomenon  Rayleigh scattering  occurs. When the sun is low in the sky (during the sunrise & sunset), the light has to travel a long path through the atmosphere to reach us. As a result, most of the blue photons are scattered away due to less wavelength & only the red photons will reach us. So, the sunset at Earth appears red. But Mars's atmosphere is different from Earth.  Mars  has a very thin, dry, and dusty atmosphere, it's roughly 100 times thinner than Earth. This means it scatters mostly the high wavelength (red) photons uniformly and blue photons scatter only a slight angle. As a result, mostly blue photons reach the surface when the sun goes down & we get a beautiful blue sunset on Mars.

Would we ever be able to build a Time Machine?

Well, Time Travel is just a  technical problem  now There are several ways we can travel in time (future), two of them are, 1. Orbiting a Black Hole -  Time slows down as we reach an object with high gravitational potential. So, we could orbit closer to a Black Hole, then for us time will run slower compared to the people on Earth. 2. High Velocity -  As per relativity, the faster we move slower the time gets. So, if we could build a spaceship that can reach speed closer to light, then we would be able to travel in time. As I said, right now time travel is a technical problem & our today's technology isn't advanced enough to build such spacecraft. However, some people are trying make this happen, for example,  Harold White  at NASA is trying to build an  Alcubierre Warp Drive .
